    My mom...

has already had 90% hearing loss in one ear in the last few months. Now her "good" ear that wasn't supposed to be affected has 40% hearing loss. She has to live with constant ringing in her ears, and roaring. Her hearing aid has helped some, but now she is anticipating losing hearing in her other ear, and she's just scared. I don't blame her. She broke down in tears at the thought of never hearing our voices again. It just breaks my heart. She is my mom, my best friend, she adores my kids and my husband. She's just the best, and it's awful to think about this happening to her.

Oh and my husband got his sleep tested. The sleep center he went to told him he was having 20 apnea (stopping breathing) episodes an hour. He slept with the CPAP machine on for his follow-up sleep study and felt amazing. I am SO happy for him!

Our first duty station was Campbell.  We lived in Clarksville for a while, then moved to the grubby Lee Village, across from Lincoln Elementary on Iowa Ave.  I hear it has all changed, tho!  We were there from 1998 to 2000.  Seeing the world as an Army wife?  So far, it has only been on the mainland.  I've been to quite a few countries, but none while married.  I would love to go to Germany.
We should be here 3 to 5 years.  We arrived in September, so we have quite a ways to go!
Email me sometime.  I would love to chat with you online as well.  You can add me to your messenger list if you like, or I can add you...whatever you prefer!
    God Bless!

Thanks for visiting my site, too!  I have a daughter Skye who is 7, and I have two boys;  Kyle is 5 and Justin is 2 1/2.
I currently live in Phenix City, Alabama, which is right on the Georgia/Alabama border.  My husband is the Army, stationed at Ft. Benning.

I see so many patients who have sleep apnea and won't use their cpap and lots of people with undiagnosed sleep apnea that need formal sleep studies. Sorry to hear about your mom's hearing loss... that has to be so scary! Is there anything that can be done to preserve her hearing?

Hi Jodie.  I was searching for a friend's site, and happened upon yours.  I find it humorous and WONDERFUL!  I still have much to do to my site, but that comes with time, right?  I am also a Christian, and an Army wife.  My hubby returned from Iraq last July.  I too have three children, and I will be 30 in August.  I love to sing, and I want to be a Contemporary Christian singer, God willing.
I was in MOPS a few years ago, but moving so often makes it hard.  I'm church hunting where we live now, with little success.  I would love for you to visit my site if you can, and leave a little feedback for me!  God Bless you REAL GOOD!

I'm so sorry about your mom. I can't imagine how scared she must be. And that sleep apnea is pretty scary too. So is that machine something he is able to use at home?
